AAHGS-Prince George’s County Maryland Chapter (AAHGS-PGCM) was organized in July 1994 by Lillie Atkinson, Carolyn Rowe, and Jane Taylor Thomas. The Chapter was chartered on April 28, 1995. As a non-profit volunteer organization, we aim to promote Black history in Prince George’s County, while encouraging historical and genealogical studies of African Americans in the area.
