Our website serves to publicize and promote the work of the AAHGS-Prince George's County MD Chapter.
We invite everyone to join in our activities and become members.
AAHGS-Prince George’s County Maryland Chapter (AAHGS-PGCM) was organized in July 1994 by Lillie Atkinson, Carolyn Rowe, and Jane Taylor Thomas. The Chapter was chartered on April 28, 1995. Click on “About” to see more information about our Chapter. As a non-profit volunteer organization, we aim to promote Black history in Prince George’s County, while encouraging historical and genealogical studies of African Americans in the area.
